Sunday was a special day for Antrim fans. When the Saffrons beat Kerry in the Joe McDonagh Cup final in December 2020 the game was played in an empty stadium, and while the team were delighted to win, the celebrations were somewhat muted. On Saturday that was all put to right when the crowds were back. The sun was shining, the Antrim fans were clad in Saffron and the game was thrilling, sometimes almost too thrilling. The Saffron Gael went along to capture the occassion.
