St Pat’s too strong for Garron Tower

St Patrick’s Maghera 5-13 St Killian’s Garron Tower 2-0

There was one way traffic in the first Danske Bank MacNamee Cup semi-final in Ballymena with St Patrick’s Maghera dominant from first whistle to last.

Despite playing into the breeze Maghera led by 4-5 to 2-0 at half time. Conleth McNaughton scored both Garron Tower goals but Sean O’Hara (two), David Hasson and Joseph Conway cancelled those out at the other end.

Late in the second half sub Sean McPeake kicked home a fifth Maghera goal.

The second semi-final, between CPC and St Mary’s Belfast takes place tomorrow (FRIDAY) in Dunsilly at 1.45pm

Maghera: S O’Hara 2-1, J Conway 1-2, D Hasson 1-1, S McPeake 1-0, D Collins 0-4, D Mulholland 0-3, C McDonald 0-1, J McKenna 0-1.

St Killian’s: C McNaughton 2-0
