Jordanstown and Queens out of luck

Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup Round Three

UCD 7-8 Ulster University 3-10

UCD’s ability to find the back of the new was the deciding factor as Ulster University came up short in a high scoring Sigerson Cup Round 3 game at Jordanstown on Wednesday evening

David Garland scored 3-3 as the Dublin college booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup.

UCD’s all out attacking style was to pay dividends as they got the better of the Jordanstown side to come out winners by 7-8 to 3-10 in a highly entertaining contest

At half-time UCD led 4-3 to 1-5 and it was similarly entertaining after the restart.

Garland (3), Daire Cregg (2), Paul Tolan, and Pearse Ruttledge struck goals for UCD while Conor Cush (2) and Ryan Jones found the target for UU.
