CPC into Gallagher Cup semi-final

Danske Bank Gallagher Cup – Year 10 Hurling

CPC scored a big win over Knock in Thursday’s Gallagher Cup quarter final at Allen Park. The Ballycastle boys had been beaten by St Mary’s in the round robin stage of the competition but they showed they are still contenders for the title with a comprehensive win over OLSPK.

Goals from Damian McMahon, Darragh Kinney, Matthew Donnelly and Logan McConville had the game all but wrapped up at by half time, the Knock points coming from Tom Hickson, Colm Kane and Darren Pucci. In the second half the Knock side defended much better and restricted CPC to just one more goal, though the Ballycastle school did pick off some excellent points as they went through to a semi-final meeting with St Killian’s
