With the championship draws already completed it is back to the bread and butter issue of league this week with a full list of games in all divisions scheduled for Wednesday evening.

Division One (all games at 7.00pm)

St John’s v St Mary’s Aghagallon

St. John’s have made a good start to their 2023 campaign with only one defeat to date and the Corrigan men are close to the top of the table.

They gained a full return of the points last time with a win up at Hightown and will return to base for this one.

Last year’s beaten championship finalists Aghagallon have enjoyed a good start to the season but they lost out last time to the visiting Rossa and they will travel to Corrigan hoping to get back to winning ways.

This looks like a tight one but although it may well be close, ground advantage may well tip the balance if favour of the Whiterock Road men.

O’ Donovan Rossa v St Brigid’s

Rossa added another couple of points to their total last time with a win at Aghagallon which was a shock result to many.

Hugh Mc Gettigan’s charges returned with a 1-12 to 0-08 win over the previously unbeaten St Mary’s side and they will look to add another as they welcome St Brigid’s to Shaw’s Road.

St Brigid’s have struggled in 2023 and the Musgrave men have failed to gain a point from their fixtures to date. The current climate and the poor form of the visitors at the moment would suggest a home win for Rossa.

Tir na nOg v St Mary’s Ahoghill

St Mary’s Ahoghill have started this season on a positive note with a couple of wins to date but they lost last time out to the visiting Cargin.

Tir na nOg gave the visiting Creggan a run for their money last time and they will look for their first win from the visit of St. Mary’s. A close one looks in prospect but the Clooney men may well collect a couple of valuable points.

Erin’s Own Cargin v St Ergnat’s Moneyglass

Having taken time to get it together in the league, Ronan Devlin’s men have gained a couple of wins of late as they play hosts to their next door neighbours Moneyglass.

Moneyglass are back in the top grade after winning division two last year and have two wins from five starts and ran St. John’s and Portglenone close.

Cargin will start this one as favourites and should add another brace of points to the ones they collected at Clooney last time out.

St Gall’s v Kickham’s Creggan

Paddy Mc Shanes St Gall’s have a couple of wins to date and seem to be gaining impetus.

The Milltown men won up at Hannahstown last time and will look forward to another test as Creggan visit.

Kickham’s were not hard pressed to gain a full return of the points from the visit of Tir nanOg last time and they will travel with confidence.

This one could be close with a share of the spoils possible.

Casement’s Portglenone v St Enda’s

Casement’s have started the season well and are current league leaders. They had four points to spare from the visit of Moneyglass last time out but they always looked in control and will travel up to Hightown as favourites.

St Enda’s have improved as the season progressed and recorded a good win over Rossa last time but this looks a tough assignment as they visit Portglenone.

The Glengormley side are capable but this may well prove a step too far with a home win anticipated.

Division Two (all games at 7.00pm)

St Teresa’s v Kickham’s Ardoyne

Ardoyne look to be gaining in confidence as their latest win over the reigning Intermediate champions Dunloy suggests.

The North Belfast side had a 2-09 to 1-07 victory over the visitors and will look to add to that win as they travel to St Teresa’s.

St Teresa’s started the present season well but seem to have lost their way of late.

They proved no match for Glenravel last time out at Fr. Maginn Park and will hope for improvement here with home advantage.

A close one is possible but Ardoyne do seem to have lifted the pace and if they can continue an away win is possible.

St James Aldergrove v Con Magees Glenravel

A tight contest looks likely in this one as the inform Aldergrove welcome Glenravel to Crumlin.

Both recorded good wins last time out with respective victories over St Paul’s and St. Patrick’s Lisburn and both sides will be hoping to continue their good early season form.

This one should attract a good crown to Crumlin with ground advantage possibly aiding the Aldergrove men to victory.

Michael Davitt’s v St Patrick’s Lisburn

St Patrick’s have struggled in the league and this looks like another tough assignment as they travel to Belfast to play Michael Davitt’s.

The home side have remained undefeated thus far in the league and will start this one as firm favourites for another win.

Cuchullian’s Dunloy v Patrick Sarsfield’s

Cuchullian’s have struggled to date and the reigning Intermediate champions will play hosts to Patrick Sarsfield’s in this one seeking a better return.

Sarsfield’s have also disappointed to date in 2023 and they will travel down the country seeking a first victory of the season.

A difficult one to call but a home win is expected if the Cuchullian’s can field at anywhere near full strength.

St Paul’s v St Joseph’s Glenavy

St Paul’s have struggled this year and welcome a Glenavy side who have blown hot and cold but recorded a good win over Gort na Mona last time out.

Glenavy are capable of making a mark in the second grade and they may well gain a full return of the points from this one.

Gort na Mona v All Saint’s Ballymena

All Saint’s lead the way in the division as they visit former first division residents Gort na Mona.

The South west side were held to a draw at Davitt’s last time and will travel to Enright Park hoping to hold onto their unbeaten record.

A close one is very much in prospect and indeed another draw and a share of the points cannot be ruled out.

Division Three (all games at 7.00pm)

Wolfe Tones v St Mary’s Rasharkin

Rasharkin are undefeated to date and the Dreen side will travel up to North Belfast and should extend their unbeaten run to six in a row.

Patrick Pearses v Laochra Loch Lao

Patrick Pearses are top of the division and they are fully expected to remain in pole position after this one although the visiting Laochra Loch Lao side have been impressive recently.

St Agnes v Cardinal O’ Donnell’s

The Aggies have started the present season well but this may well prove a step too far for them with the vote awarded to O’ Donnell’s.

St Comgall’s Antrim v St Malachy’s

St Comgall’s have faltered in their steps of late but they can get back to winning ways as St. Malachy’s visit Antrim.
