Loughgiel had a big win over Ballycastle is Sunday’s Division 1 league game at Fr Healy Park. The Shamrocks were just too strong throughout the field and were 1-10 to 0-7 clear at the break, the goal (and two points) coming from Jack McCloskey, while Shan McGrath hit four with Ruairi McCormick Donal McKinley, Ryan McKee and Ben McGarry getting a point each.

There was more to follow after the break with Dan McCloskey getting a goal soon after the restart and Shan McGrath adding a point. Lorcan Donnelly pulled a couple of points back for Ballycastle from frees, but goal number three came soon afterwards after a great run through the middle by Ryan McKee.
The fourth goal came midway through the half from Shan McGrath, and while Ballycastle pulled a couple back through Eoin McAlonan and Lorcan Donnelly, Loughgiel kept picking off the points to win convincingly in the end.
