ACFL Division 2 Reserve
All Saints 9-10 Ardoyne 2-4
Photographs: Brian McKee
All Saints proved too strong for Kickham’s Ardoyne in this ACFL Division 2 Reserve game at Quinn Park on Friday night. Visitors Ardoyne started well and actually went ahead with a goal from their full forward after 13 minutes but when Rory McVeigh fisted a Darrach Bradley fisted pass to the net, a minute later the home side never looked back.
They went on to lead 1-6 to 1-2 at half time before turning on the style in a second half where they scored another eight goals and their football at times was excellent to watch as they moved the ball around with conviction.
The excellent Darrach Bradley set the game alight with goals in the 9th and 10th minutes and Reece O’Mullan, Matthew Downey, Ciaran McGarry, Joe Rafferty, Bradley again and another from Downey killed of the challenge of an Ardoyne side who kept going to the end.
Darrach Bradley was All Saints star performer while Rory McVeigh led his line and created many chances with his intelligent passing while Mullen, McGrew, McBride, McKee and McCluskey were best for Ardoyne
