Under 17 Hurling League
Ruairi Og Cushendall 3-11 Loughgiel 2-16
Loughgiel travelled to Cushendall on Sunday morning to take on the Ruairis in the Under 17 Hurling League and came away winners by two points after a great contest. The first half was low scoring with Loughgiel leading by 0-7 to 0-5 at the break, but after the change of ends both teams upped the pace and produced some great scores.

The key stage of the game came midway through that second half when the Shamrocks had a great five minute spell which brought them 2-2 without reply, the goals coming from midfielder Liam Glackin and Codai McGarry, with Eamon Smyth and Oisin Connolly getting the points.
A goal by substitute Thomas McLaughlin in the 48th minute had given Cushendall the lead but that 2-2 salvo by the visitors swung the game back in their favour. A Caodhan Scullion goal five minutes from time had brought his side back level, but two injury time points from Ryan O’Boyle and Oisin Connly gave Loughgiel victory
