Many will say it was written in the stars as Monday morning’s Tailteaan Cup semi-final draw seen Antrim manager Andy McEntee facing his former Meath side in the Sunday’s semi-final at Croke Park.
McEntee spent six years at the helm of the Royal county before stepping down last summer. There are of course family connections as his nephew James was man of the match for the Royals in Saturday win over Wexford at Pairc Tailteaan.
Antrim’s neighbours Down – who beat many peoples favourites Cavan on Saturday, will take on Laois in the other semi-final. The CCCC will confirm the fixture arrangements later today.
