The Ulster Poc Fada will be held tonight on Gawkstown Hill in Feystown Glenarm so why not come along for a mountain walk and enjoy not only a great competion, but spectacular views and a cuppa tae at the end of it all.

The winners from last weekend’s Antrim Poc Fada, which was held at the same venue, will all be there with Loughgiel legend Liam Watson representing his county once again when he competes in the Mens’s event for the first time, Teresa McAllister of St John’s Camogie Club, Carnlough will represent her county in the Senior Ladies section as does her Carnlough clubmate Eimhear Ward in the Under 16 Girls section.
Sean Og McLaren of St Paul’s will be defending his Under 16 Ulster title after sealing back to back Antrim wins last week.
Competitors and spectators are ask to meet at Shane O’Neill’s Hurling Club at Feystown between 6 and 6-30, before heading up Gawkstown Hill for the start of the event at 7pm



Liam Watson will be up against six other competitors in the Senior section with Gearait Ó Maináin of Na Magha Derry, Hugh Byrne of Castleblaney, Monaghan, Kevin O’Connor of Craobh Rua, Armagh, Sean Kelly of Niamh Colum Cille, Armagh, Conor Woods of Ballycran, Down and Peter O’Donnell of Letterkenny Gaels, Donegal representing their counties.
In the Ladies section Teresa McAllister will be up against Leanne Donnelly of Eglish, Tyrone, Orla Mullan of Ballerin, Derry, Allana Fitzpatrick of Clontibret, Monaghan, Danielle McCourt of Ballyholland, Down, Emma Mculvanney of Castletra Cavan and Ellen Callaghan of Carndonagh, Donegal.
In the Under 16 Boys section Sean Og McLaren will be up against Conor Lappin of Midlletown, Armagh, Paul McNicholl of Ballinascreen, Derry, Oran Farrelly of Carrickmacross, Monaghan, Aodhan Molloy of Eoghan Ruadh, Tyrone, Zak Farrell of Cavan Gaels, Oran McAnareney of Ballela, Down and Kyron McColgan of Burt, Donegal.
In the Under 16 Girls section Antrim’s Eimhear Ward is up against Kate Sarsfield of Carndonagh, Donegal, Abbey-Rose Dewhirst of Clontibret, Monaghan, Tierna Kelly of Ballinascreen, Derry and Hollie Croucher of Niam Brid Brocagah, Tyrone.
