They were still head nearing the end of the first quarter, but two goals in a minute from Anna Mulholland and Grainne McLaughlin turned the game in Glenavy’s favour and they pushed on to lead by 2-9 to 0-6 at half time.
Anna Monaghan stretched their lead with a goal early in the second half but boosted by a goal from centre forward Anna Cosgrave St Gall’s hit back and added points through Alastriona Burns (3), Nicole Killen, and Ciara McGlichey to get themselves back into contention.
