St Marys Aghagallon held a great night’s entertainment on Sat night at the Woodville Arms Lurgan. The Cube was the Ultimate Challenge on the night and with a full house in attendance, the big crowd were well entertained. Stepping into the cube were individuals from eight teams and under pressure of the the lights, the tension and the brain teasing games that the Cube presented, this was a battle against time and logic and produced many tense and humorous moments, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats. With games like, The Drop Zone, Multi Sphere and Exchange, all shredding the nerves and making for great entertainment.

With everyone getting into the spirit of the night we had teams representing the Aghagallon ‘All Stars’, the underage coaches, the senior players, camogie and the committee, all performing with great passion on the night in the ‘Ultimate Challenge’. Covering all sections of the Club we had the teams, Mc Gackeys Angels, the Untouchables, Bond James Bond, Bewitched, the Gangsta Young Stars, The Chubes, Goldilocks and Co, and The Auld Stars, great fun and in the Cube all very competitive. After a very close contest, lives lost, nerve tingling games and a lively audience, the eventual winners on the night were Mc Gackeys Angels, all footballers.
After all the excitement of the Cube contest, the audience took a well deserved break and a very successful draw was held for many great prizes on the night. The tempo was ramped up a few gears when the night was finished off with a lively disco for those who danced the night away.

A very successful night and great craic for all in attendance, the Cube is definitely a unique game and all the contestants would agree. For the Club the night was a successful fundraiser and brought many members together as the playing season comes to an end. Many thanks are due to all involved and to Nuala Drain and Mary Hamill in particular, for their efforts in bringing the Cube to the club. A big thank you to all our sponsors for making the night such a success and of course to all who attended. As you can see from the great photos of the night a special thanks must go to Bert Trowlen for all his efforts.
