Antrim Camogie League Division 1
Cushendall 3-17 Bridini Oga Glenravel 0-5
Cushendall scored a comprehensive win over Bridini Oga Glenravel in Tuesday evening’s Division 1 League game at Pairc Mhuire Cushendall, winning in the end by 21 points.
The Ruairiettes, who sat out last week’s opening round of league games, dominated all through and after an early exchange of points between full forward Orlagh Burke and Glenravel’s Eimear McAleenan the home side struck their first goal through corner forward Orlaith McCurry. Goal number two came from Orlagh Burke as the home team took control and left half forward Orlaith McAlister got her team’s third before half time as they went in leading by 3-9 to 0-4.

Cushendall stretched their advantage after the change of ends but great work by the Glenravel defence, and goalkeeper Orla Donnelly in particular, kept the score down. The visitors did have a couple of goal chances of their own when they were awarded two penalties near the end but both shots, the first from Aishing Millar and the second from Eimhear McAleenan were both saved by Cushendall keeper Louise Mulholland.
Cushendall scorers: D Cosgrove 0-4, O O’Hara 1-2, O McAlister 1-1, O McCurry 1-0, Kady McNeill 0-6, Cara O’Boyle 0-2, Laura Black 0-1
Bridini Oga scorers – Eimear McAleenan (0-2), Erin Coulter 0-1, Sarah Fyfe 0-1, Clodagh McPeake 0-1.
