St Teresa’s 2-10 Glenavy 0-15
A point from a penalty with the last kick of the game by full forward John Mallon earned St Teresa’s victory over Glenavy in and exciting Division 2 game on Wednesday evening. He hit the ball well but Glenavy goalkeeper Stephen Daly got a hand to it, but the ball spun up and over the crossbar for the score that sealed both points.
Both teams went into the game unbeaten and it was Glenavy who made the most promising start as a point from Ciaran Loney was followed by two from Fergal Henry. Both sides exchanged points on two different occasions, but Glenavy appeared to have gained the upper hand when two points from Fergal Hendry put them two clear with just five minutes left of normal time.
