Dunloy 6-10, Ardoyne 0-4

Cuchullian’s Dunloy saw off the challenge of Ardoyne Kickham’s with an impressive performance on Sunday evening. The Cuchullains were quick out of the blocks and four goals in the first fifteen minutes all but ended the game as a contest.

Anthony Smith was on form with a quick fire hat-trick and Seaan Elliott powered home in what was an impressive cameo. Ardoyne steadied the ship in the second quarter with both teams tagging on points before Half time.

Half time score Dunloy 4-5, Ardoyne 0-2

The second half started just as the first with Dunloy scoring a goal in their opening attack. Nigel Elliott broke through the Ardoyne defence and finished to the roof of the net.

Mickey Smith followed up with an impressive goal as the Cuchullains looked to stay in control of the game. Ardoyne tried to work a few opportunities at the other end but the Dunloy defence stood strong in what was a solid team performance.
