Antrim Camogie League – Division 1

Dunloy 0-09 Cushendall 3-18

Last Sunday’s player of the match in Antrim’s All Ireland Minor A Shield final, Eva McNeill, played a starring role again on Tuesday evening when her club Cushendall beat Dunloy in the Division 1 of the Antrim Camogie League at Pearse Park.

With both teams short their county players and in Dunloy’s case a few more on top of that, the depth of the panels were well tested. McNeill carried on where she left off on Sunday, hitting eight points in total, as did Antrim captain Amy McAlister who scored 1-1.

Cushendall led by 0-10 to 0-05 at half time and pushed on in the second half Brogan Abram and Cara O’Boyle adding goals, while Orlagh O’Hara grabbed four points and Siobhan McKillop two.

Caoimhe Molloy led the scoring honour for Dunloy, hitting all of her team’s five points in the opening half, while another of Antrim’s stars from Sunday Aoibhe McAllister grabbed two for the Cuchullains and Eimhear McMullan got one.
