Dominican College Fortwilliam 4-04 (16) St Patrick’s Keady 2-07 (13)
Date: Tuesday, 3rd February 2026 Referee: Sean McIntyre (Tyrone)
Dominican College Fortwilliam produced a stunning second-half performance to overcome a halftime deficit and defeat St Patrick’s Keady in a thrilling U20 C Cup Final on Tuesday.

First Half: Keady Use the Elements
The final began with St Patrick’s Keady playing with the aid of a very strong wind, a factor they looked to exploit immediately. For the opening ten minutes, the Fortwilliam defence found themselves pinned back deep in their own territory, struggling to clear their lines against the gale.
The pressure eventually told in the 6th minute when Keady’s Ella Toal (#14) fired over a good point from play to open the scoring. However, the momentum shifted midway through the half. Despite the elements being against them, Fortwilliam broke through in the 17th minute with a well-worked move that ended with Cadhla Glover (#14) finding the back of the net.
Keady responded immediately, with Caoimhe Gollogly (#15) influential in attack. The Armagh side threatened to pull away, but Fortwilliam were kept in the game by some resolute defending and a missed goal chance from Keady late in the half. At the other end, Keady goalkeeper Aobha Mone produced a magnificent save to deny Fortwilliam a second goal. At the break, St Patrick’s Keady held a slender advantage, leading 1-06 to 2-01.

Second Half: The Fortwilliam Blitz
Dominican College turned the game on its head immediately after the restart. Straight from the throw-in, they carved open the Keady defence with a slick team move, finished once again by Cadhla Glover after just 40 seconds—her second goal of the game.
Fortwilliam continued to dominate the third quarter, adding points from play through Hannah Mc Girr (#9) and Evie Mc Allister (#12) to establish a lead, but Keady refused to roll over, registering their first score of the half on six minutes with a free from Caoimhe Gollogly. The contest ignited in the 12th minute when Keady’s Cara McGeary (#10) finished a flowing team move to the net, dragging her side right back into contention.
However, Fortwilliam struck the decisive blow in the closing stages. In the 26th minute, corner-forward Isabelle Mc Girr (#15) found the net to give the Belfast school breathing room, and a late pointed free by Aiobheann Monaghan (#11) capped off the scoring, securing the Cup for Dominican College.
