Gorts too strong for Glenravel

Gortnamona proved too strong for Glenravel in Monday evening’s LGFA Division 1 League ggame at Fr Maginn Park, Glenravel running out convincing winner but 3-18 to 1-04.

The visitors were totally dominant in the opening half and went in at the break leading by 1-09 to 0-00. Glenravel played much better in the second half and an Aimee Traynor goal certainly gave them a boost, but they could not match the West Belfast girls, speed, determination and score taking ability as they took the league points back to Turf Lodge.

The Gorts scores came from Bláithín Nic Cathail 1-3, Ciara Maguire 1-2, Mia Mills 0-5, Alyssa Davidson 0-4, Chloe Boyd Munce 1-0, Jeyda Rooney 0-2, Broghan Crossin 0-1, Casey Meighan 0-1, while Aimee Traynor got 1-03 for Glenravel.
