Antrim U16 Camogie Championship

Semi Final

Ruairi Og v Dunloy at Paric Mhuire

Ruairi Og qualified for the 2026 U16 Camogie final with a battling win against a resolute Dunloy team. Games between these two teams have always been nip and tuck down through the years and this was no different. Dunloy got the first score of the game with a point from Keelan McShane. However Cushendall’s ability to get goals would prove crutial. Laoiseach McNaughton raised their first green flag on ten minutes. Dunloy worked themselves level with Maggie Kearns very influential at centre half back. McNaughton again hit the net for Cushendall but in a great battle McShane and Mia Galvin again drew Dunloy level with half time fast approaching. Elena McQuillan had the final say of the opening period when her free pushed the Ruairiettes ahead by the minimum at the short whistle 2-1 to 0-6.

With the wind at their backs for the second half Cushendall began to find their rhythm. Elena McQuillan found her range with a couple of frees. Keelan McShane was keeping Dunloy in touch at the other end but vital goals from McQuillan and Nicola Molloy secured the victory for Cushendall and Emma Lynn put the icing on the cake with a great finishing point. Final score Cushendall 4-6 Dunloy 0-10.
