Fixtures curtailed but still plenty of action for the hurling fans

This evening’s hurling fixtures have been greatly curtailed because of next week’s Christy Ring Cup final between Antrim and Carlow in Croke Park. Because so many team’s have players inolved, and particularly because of the squad’s mouning injury concerns the county board have decided to hold back on the games which involve county players.

Only one Division One game survives and that one sees Cushendall ( who have decided to go ahead without their county players) take on Ballygalget in Pairc Mhuire, Cushendall so it will be an early start for the men from the Ards.

In Division Two there is a mouth watering North Antrim derby in Armoy as the Glen Rovers take on Glenariff Oisins while Carey Faughs travel to Randalstown to take on Tir na nOg. In the other game in that division St Gall’s travel down the Ards Peninsula to take on Portaferry.

In the combined Division 3&4 league Lamh Dhearg host Con Magees at Boucher Road, Loch Mór Dál Gcais take on Gort na Mona at Mallusk while St Teresa’s travel to Naomh Colum Cille
