Last week two young Dunloy players Cathair McGuigan and Conor Kinsella were involved in a serious car accident and while neither’s injuries are life threatening they do have serious repercussions for these two fine you men. Cathair suffered a broken vertebrae in his back and Conor broke his chest bone and his nose. Cathair was captain of the Cuchullains minor football team who won last season’s championship while Conor was the rock of the defence in that same winning team. Both of them have been playing for the club’s senior footballers this season and according to team manger Dominic Dillon both of them would have been starters for the forthcoming championship campaign.
I’m sure you will join with us here at the Saffron Gael in wishing them a speedy recovery.
