North Antrim U12B Final

All Saints Bring HomeAll Saints U12 hurlers produced their best performance of the season to beat a committed, skilful Dunloy B team in Saturday’s Division 2 final in Cushendun on Sunday.

Saints were playing into a stiff breeze blowing off the sea at the superbly presented Cushendun ground, However they got a tight grip on the game from the off with Aodhan McGarry and Kevin O’Boyle taking charge around the middle of the field. A well taken goal from Fintan Brady along with a super point from Pearse Martin were the scores of the 1st half along with some great free taking by McGarry.

Any attacks from Dunloy were being stopped before causing too much damage with Archie McGreevey, Conan McMullan & Ryan Thom working well to snuff out any chances. Captain Ciaran McQuillan in goals also made a few timely interceptions!

The large support for All Saints were sensing a chance for the boys to get their 2nd piece of silverware and the 2nd half started where the 1st finished with the young Saints on top. Some more lovely scores followed with Kevin O’Boyle and Aodhan McGarry to the fore again, and the game was secured when McGarry fired home a superb goal to give the boys a comfortable lead. Dunloy never gave up though and pressed hard to get back into the game but the Saints defence held strong with a superb Pearse Martin save keeping the clean sheet!

The final whistle was met with great celebrations as the All Saints boys finished a long season with a flourish and brought home the shield!

Every member of the squad contributed to this victory including the girls who couldn’t make today, however special mention today must go to Aodhan McGarry, Kevin O’Boyle and Pearse Martin who were outstanding throughout.

Well done to Roisin O’Boyle and Paul McGarry for the sterling work they have put in with this squad of players and it’s good to see them getting the reward for all their hard work.
