Ladies U16 A Football League
All Saints 3-05 St Enda’s 2-02
All Saints turned in another impressive performance hot on the heels of their well-deserved championship win against Lámh Dhearg on Saturday. Fielding against one of the top U16 girl’s sides in the county ‘A’ league at present the Ballymena girls knew only a top performance would suffice to trouble the Hightown side. And what a performance the young saints turned in. A fiercely contested game saw bags of skill, speed and agility on display from both teams ensuring a highly entertaining game. This was a great game of football which ebbed and flowed from end to end with some great scores taken by both teams and resolute defending in equal measures. Again All Saints had outstanding performers in all areas of the pitch which saw the full panel get game time. The importance of young Sinead Devine to the team tonight needs a special mention as she showcased a master class in fielding a ball and to top it all off made a great save from a St Enda’s penalty. Well done to All Saints, ever improving, keep it up. All the best to St Enda’s now in their U16 ‘A’ county final.
