All Saints who recorded a good win over St. Enda’s at Hightown on Friday night

Thomas Devlin U14 Football League

St. Enda’s 2-3 All Saints 7-11

All Saints U14 boys travelled to St Enda’s on the back of some poor performances in the league so far. However they got back to some of their best form with a commanding performance from the start.

A flowing early move saw Oisin O’Mullan feed Archie McGreevey who fired an unstoppable opener to the net. This settled the visitors and they went on to control the half with Tyrone Mitchell adding a cracking goal. The two Ryan’s at midfield were enjoying plenty of possession at midfield and moving the ball nice and quickly into a dangerous forward line.

Conor Corr, Niall Devine and Calum McAvoy were enjoying their best games of the season at half back and the full back line missing the injured Kevin O’Boyle were very solid after a shaky start. Ryan Thom setting the tone with two great blocks which nearly brought the dinner up, Dara Killough and Aodhan McGarry supported well. Daniel McCoy was having a solid game in goals with his kick outs improving all the time.

The second half was all about the forwards with scores from Mitchell, Ciaran McQuillan and Oisin O’Mullan coming quickly. However special mention to Lewis White who set up a great score with a great run and Cal O’Brien who wrecked the net with a fine left foot finish. St Enda’s battled throughout both half’s and the score line would have been closer if it wasn’t for a few poor wides in both half’s.

Saints subs Daniel, Charlie, John, Fintan, all contributed well with Fintan and Charlie grabbing goals.

There was good Saint’s performances throughout but Tyrone Mitchell and Ryan Martin both deserve mention for their work-rate and good play during the full 40minutes.
