Friday 19th October @ 4pm and QUB Playing Fields, The Dub
Cross & Passion v An Dun
Cross & Passion College managers Joe and Sean Cassidy have named their team of today’s Mageean Cup Semi Final against An Dún at the Dub. Throw-in 4pm. The team contains a good few of the Loughgiel and Dunloy minor players who faced each other in last Sunday’s drawn Antrim Minor Hurling final, but all that will be put to one side as they face up to a really tought test against a very good An Dún side. The Down amalgamation side were impressive on Monday when beating St Kilian’s Garron Tower in the quarter final at Hightown. In that game all six forwards scored from play, as well as midfielder Phelim Savage. Full forward Ronan Blair was particularly impressive, scoring 1-8, 1-4 of it from play but in truth all six forwards were skillful accomplished players.
CPC also have a forward line packed with talent with Dunloy’s Ryan ‘Chipper’ McFarline on the 40 where he is flanked by Loughgiel’s Michael McGarry and Oisins’ Michael O’Boyle. The full forward line of Rian McMullan, Conor McBride and Seamus McAuley are all quality forwards with great scoring potential. Overall this has the making of a great game so if you get the chance make your way to the Dub today for what should be a cracking game of hurling
