The Saffron Gael welcomes Thornton Roofing on board as our latest sponsor. The Toomebridge firm is no strangers to GAA sponsorship having been Erin’s Own, Cargin’s main sponsor for many years and they are also involved in the Antrim Business Forum.
Indeed, Stephen Thornton, Managing Director attended yesterday’s championship game between Cargin and Gaoth Dobhair at Corrigan Park where he presented a cheque to the Saffron Gael at the end of the St. Enda’s v Doohamlet Intermediate championship game which preceded the senior fixture.
Thornton Roofing is a leading roofing and cladding company based in Toomebridge, Co Antrim with a portfolio of project delivery across the UK and the island of Ireland.
A family business, established over 50 years ago, they pride their business on their ability to deliver high quality workmanship, exemplary customer service and value for money for contracts big and small. Established in 1965 by James and Kathleen Thornton, the family business is today overseen by the founders’ son, Stephen (Managing Director), and daughter, Jenny Neeson (Financial Director). They employ more than 80 people and have a business development strategy aimed at growing their capacity and presence in their three core operating sectors of contract works, small works and metal works.
The specialist nature of their business has taken them to contracts throughout the UK; however, their core business over the last five decades has been drawn from Northern Ireland. Projects include the Waterfront Hall, Belfast; North Foreshore Film Studios, Belfast; the Kingspan Stadium, Altnagelvin Hospital, the Museum of Free Derry and the Seamus Heaney Centre in Bellaghy.
Having experienced growth in recent years they believe they are poised to enjoy the benefits of their growing reputation for roofing, cladding, small works, maintenance and architectural metal works. They are rightly proud of their reputation as being the go-to one stop construction services company for building clients.
As a family business based in the Toomebridge area they are delighted to be the major sponsor of Erin’s Own Cargin and wish all teams within the club continued success in their leagues in the seasons ahead.
We thank Thornton Roofing for their generous donation and would encourage our readers to support all our sponsors and advertisers without whom we could not continue.
