The County Scór Final took place on Sunday 24th February. St Olcan’s Parish Centre, Rasharkin was the venue and what a fantastic venue it was. We saw wonderful talent on stage from the City clubs to the Glens and we were treated to a wealth of music, storytelling and dance. Mac Uilín Ballycastle were delighted to pick up the Rince Foirne title; their first County Scór title in decades. Bronagh McIlfatrick was winner of the Solo Singing Competition with a lovely version of Brid Óg Ní Mháille, bringing a County title home to Dunloy. The Aithriseoireacht/ Scéalaíocht title was won by Malachy Duffin , a great honour for him picking up a title in Tír na nÓg’s centenary year. The Ballad Group section was won my St Ergnat’s Moneyglass for the second successive year . Moneyglass also picked up the Ceol Uirlise title for the 5th successive year and brought the house down with the standard of their musicianship and playing . Before the results, we were treated to a performance from All Ireland Champion Katie Bonnes who won the recitation title in Castlebar last weekend.
We were treated to a high standard County Final with great performances from all acts. Huge credit to those clubs who hadn’t participated in a while and who came today with great talent to the County Final. Scór is a fantastic aspect of the GAA and is an opportunity to celebrate our rich culture and heritage.

The Ulster Semi Final will take place in St Clare’s Hall Glenavy on Saturday 9th March at 6pm. 2 acts from the semi final will progress to the Ulster Scór Final .
