Ballycastle, Ruairi Og and Tir na nÓg take U12 Airborne titles

Ballycastle won the North Antrim Indoor Airborne Division 1 title when they beat Cushendall in a thrilling final at Dunloy Academy. In the semi-final the young McQuillan’s outfit had a runaway 42 – 9 win over Dunloy while the Ruairis beat their North coast neighbours 29-20 after a highly competitive game. The final was another close affair with Ballycastle running winners by 29 points to 23.

Ruairi Og got revenge in the Division 2 section when they beat Ballycastle emphatically in the semi-final before going on to score a 27 – 6 win over St Enda’s in the final, the Glengormly boys getting to the final by virtue of a semi-final win over Dunloy.

The Division 3 final was the closest of the day and what a game it turned out to be as Tir na nÓg beat their South West neighbours Creggan by the narrowest of margins (16-15). The Randalstown boys had earlier beaten All Saints in the semi-final 34-9 while Creggan beat Glenravel 28-5.
