Gaeltach Scholarships for St. Killian’s students

This week St Killian’s College welcomed Máirtín Allen from the Comhaltas Uladh, Craobh Bun Abhann Dalla, to present a few of the students who will be travelling to the Gaeltacht this summer with a Gaeltacht Scholarship. 28 students from the college will travel this year to two different summer courses in Coláiste Bhríde, Rann na Feirste and Coláiste Aoidh Mhic Bhricne, Teileann.

Bean E Uí Uiginn, Irish teacher in St Killian’s, paid tribute to the students for their hard work this year, and in the acquisition of this scholarship. The students gratefully received a total of £1400 from Comhaltas Uladh, which will be of great assistance to them in the further development of their learning of Irish. Go n-éirí libh.
