Report and Photographs: Elaine Kelly

St. Ergnat’s Moneyglass U14 girls travelled to Dublin on  Saturday and after another fantastic days football from the Marrion Hill girls they retained the Kilmacud Crokes 7’s title. Having won the title for the first time last year hopes were high that this very talented bunch of players were in with a serious shout again this year and they didn’t disappoint.

The St Ergnat’s Super Stars set off on Saturday morning at 5.30 am with only one intention , to bring the trophy back to Moneyglass.

No team has ever won the Kilmacud Cup back to back before and the Antrim champions were determined that they would make their own little bit of history. Moneyglass went through the tournament unbeaten, played fantastic football and gave their all in every game and no one could have asked more from these 10 girls.
