Naomh Padraig celebrate successful season

St Patrick’s GAC Lisburn celebrated the end of another fantastic year with a Club Night at the local hall.

Players, coaches, committee members and supporters of the club gathered for an evening of entertainment, with Chairman Peter Burns starting off proceedings with a Table Quiz with a strong focus on the counties of Ireland.  After the quiz, there were some funky moves on the dance floor, as the club members danced the night away with the help of DJ Darren Mayes. A fantastic evening was topped off with a specially commissioned burger van outside to help with the revellers’ late night munchies.

The event was a celebration of a great year on and off the pitch for the Lisburn Club, with the Senior’s winning the Junior Championship, followed up by victory in the McCormick Cup. Impressively, Naomh Padraig continued to field a Ladies Team and a reserve men’s team took to the field for the first time in 30 years, competing in the South Antrim League.

The Minor and underage teams continue to go from strength to strength, with boys and girls of all ages continue to learn and play football at Kirkwoods Park with numbers increasing year on year.

A great round off to a successful season for Naomh Padraig!
