Glenavy had a three point win over neighbours Naomh Padraig at Chapel Hill on Thursday night. This was the Glenavy side’s first outing after having a bye last week and the win puts them into second place in the table behind Ardoyne.

Glenavy got off to a great start and were 1-3 to 0-1 up after 15 minutes, the goal coming from Callum Creighton. Three points from frees by Darragh Doherty stretched the lead as Lisburn missed a good few chances to score. However the visitors began to find their range and they fought back and went in level at half time 1-4 to 1-4. Glenavy retook the lead with a Darragh Armstrong goal, but it was point for point after that. Glenavy added 6 more points to their tally, one from a free from Pearce Connaughton, one from Fiontan O’Boyle.one from Finn Shannon and two from Michael Morgan and in the end had just three to spare over their visitors.
