Larne and Davitt’s get the chance to do it all again

Junior B Hurling Championship – 1pm @ All Saints

Today at All Saints Ballymena reigning Junior B Hurling Champions Latharna Og start the defence of their title when they take on Davitt’s in a preliminary round at 1pm.

These two acually were in the same group in the Junior A competion with the Larne men coming out on top in Belfast in their opening game. Normally the Junior B is played before the A starts with just the overall winner going through into the A competition but this year circumstance has dictated otherwise and I think it is a great idea.

The teams going into the Junior B are the ones who did not make the quarter finals of the A so they have a bit of hurling behind them and are much better prepared. It is an idea that worth looking at in the years to come.

In today’s game Larne must start as favourites, because they won the earlier meeting, but Davitt’s will see it as a chance to get their season back on track. Good luck to all involved.
