Three groups working together in North Antrim on Seachtain na Gaeilge events are acting as a springboard for more Irish language activity in the area of Baile an Chaistil, Bun Abhann Dalla agus Dún Lathaí and increasing awareness of, the now international festival of Irish Language taking place 1st – 17th March every year

Gaeilge Gach Lá; In association with CLG Chúchulainn. 1st-16th March Daily Irish – with Dunloy GAA & Camogie Club. ; Log on every day to hear your Gaeilge an Lá.
Siúlóidí; online Walks / tours: Saturday, 6th March, 10.30am. No waterproofs required this year – just enjoy from home!
Éicea-ealaín; Eco-Art – Kids Art/Craft videos using materials available in the home. Videos will be released on the 8th and 15th of March. Families can register at any time up to the 17th March to receive the videos.
Grúpa Comhrá 18-25 yrs – reconnecting young Irish speakers who have attended Gaelscoil or studied Irish to AS level or above using online evening sessions. Times to be confirmed with the young people who register.
Díanchúrsaí; Intensive Irish classes. A one-day experience can be a wonderful start to open yourself up to the Irish language. Saturday 13th March. 10.00am -12.30pm. The first 15 people to register for each class will receive a copy of the book Ceimeanna Comhrá.
Gaeilge don teaghlach; Irish for Families – gives families with young children a unique opportunity to take those first steps to create friendships where they share their experiences of Irish and get support to bring more Irish into their homes. Saturday 13th March. 10.00am -12.30pm. We have 20 copies of ‘Gaeilge don Teaghlach’ to give away to those attending.
Cúrsa ‘Canadh le chéile’; Singing Series – simple songs in Irish to be sung at Oíche Airneáil. Next session of singing is on Wednesday, 3rd March from 7-8pm with Bronagh.
Oíche Airneáil; online social evening with music, singing, stories and launch of ‘Siúil as Gaeilge’; booklet of placenames, stories, Irish phrases. Wednesday 16th March from 7.30-9.30pm on line.
Tráth na gCeist: Quiz night. In association with CLG MacUilín’s GAA, Saturday 13th from 7pm. You will need
Craic agus Ceol na hOige: in association with CLG MacUílín, Fun and Music for Children. Sunday, 7th March from 3-4pm. Suitable for all the little ones up to the age of p3. If your child or children need any adaptations to the activities so that they can take part, please let us know before the event.
