Over the last two weeks we have been looking at the management setup at clubs in division 1 and division 2 of the football leagues. Today it is the turn to take a look at the men who will be directing matters at the clubs in division 3.
Antrim based St Comgall’s just missed out on silverware last term having finished runners up in the Junior championship and will be striving to go one better this term.
Adrian Dougan has assumed the managers role again at Dunsilly and will be assisted by Paddy Quinn.
The Aggies did hint at better last term and the Andersonstown road side will be seeking a return to such positivity in 2021.
The Woodlands side have installed Tiffy Quinn as Manager ably assisted by long serving Roy McLarnon.
St Mary’s Rasharkin having lost their second tier status a couple of seasons back will be serious Junior Championship contenders in 2021.
Stephen Hardy has taken the reins down at Dreen with John McTaggart his assistant.
The St Patrick’s men gained county honours a couple of seasons back, winning the junior championship and are likely to be in the frame for a repeat this coming season. They have installed Cormac McKenna, Martin Kennedy, and Peter Mallon in the management team for 2021.
Cardinal O’ Donnell’s
O’ Donnell’s having been in the doldrums for a time did hint at imminent improvement last year and a continuation of such positivity will be sought in the season ahead.
The McCrory Park custodians have installed Joe Herald in the management role with a selection team to follow.
Laochra Loch Lao
Laochra Loch Lao are still in their infancy as a club and they do seem to be gaining from experience.
They will look to continue that trend in the year ahead with Marcus Mac Eachaidh appointed as manager with selection team to follow.
The men from the Market’s area of the city have been contenders in this division in recent years and should continue to challenge in the season ahead.
They have appointed Michael Brown, Donal Mc Carry, Kevin Dobbin, and the evergreen Junior Mc Manus as their senior management team 2021.
Wolfe Tones are the latest club to join the ranks of Antrim football and having played a number of challenge games last year, the Greencastle club are set to make their JFC debut this term.
Former All Saint’s man Enda McAtamney takes the reins as manager with Brendan O’ Hara, Michael McLarnon and Gavin Comiskey assisting and these men bring a wealth of experience to the position.
Pearses had a good run last year and will hope to improve again in 2021.
Tomas O Neill assumes the management role with Gerard Ross, Marty Hill and Ruairi Cash in assistance…
Having struggled to make impact over the past few seasons Eire Og will seek a positive run in 2021.
They have appointed Fra Grimley as manager this term to be assisted by Gareth McLaverty and Barney McGeough.
Last season Ballycastle came close to causing a major upset when they ran eventual winners Ardoyne close in the Junior Championship semi-final at Dunsilly. Conor Kelly is back again as manager with former county minor Conor McAuley as Coach. They have still to appoint another member to the management team but that hasn’t happened just yet.
