A great night for football between two evenly matched teams took place at Chapel Hill, Glenavy between the local rivals with Aldergrove edging the game by 1-11 to 1-16 Both teams played youthful sides in an end to end game with a goal by Paddy Burns midway through the second half the main difference between the sides and young O’Neill for Glenavy taking two points when perhaps goals would have been the difference.

Aldergrove with nine different scorers, and 15 of their 20 players under 21, took control after a great team move between Oisin Graham Connleth O’Toole and Paddy Burns resulted in Glen Dunham leaving Burns to palm into net and from their ON kept 3 or 4 between the teams to the finish.
