St Joseph’s Glenavy 5-6 Aghagallon 4-8

St Joseph’s, Glenavy under 13’s welcomed St Mary’s, Aghagallon on a very hot summers evening, and with a 6.30pm throw in, it was tough conditions for the players.
Glenavy started the stronger team in the first half, clocking up four goals and two points to Aghagallons four points.
St Mary’s came back after the break a completely different team, racking up several unanswered scores with Glenavy now under severe pressure.
The game was really tight in the last few minutes with both teams going for the win.
But, with a late goal from Glenavy, they won the match 5-6 to 4-8, just winning by a point in this local Derby.
