Last Sunday Maeve Kelly stood on the steps of Croke Park savouring the moment. With her Antrim colleagues she had just defeated Kilkenny in the All Ireland Intermediate Camogie final and the Ballycastle girl had made a massive contribution, scoring 1-5 of her side’s total.
Five days later Maeve was out carrying the message to the next generation of Antrim Camogs as she brought the All Ireland Cup around schools in the South West. After visiting St. Brigid’s and St. Colmcille’s in Ballymena it was on to Creggan Primary School, the venue different but the message the same, practise-practise-practise!
Maeve answered questions from the Creggan Primary School pupils, posing for photographs and signing autographs before presenting the school with a signed programme from last Sunday’s final.
