Antrim’s All Ireland winner, Maeve Kelly continued her journey around primary schools in the South West with a visit to St. Colmcille’s Primary School in Ballymena yesterday. Maeve was a member of the Antrim team who defeated Kilkenny in last Sunday’s All Ireland Intermediate Camogie final and was awarded the player of the match trophy.
The McQuillan’s Ballycastle player brought the All Ireland cup with her and received a rousing reception at the Cullybackey Road seat of learning. Maeve answered questions about the final and her camogie career in general from a very enthusiastic audience and afterwards posed for photographs with pupils and staff.
