St Mary’s Aghagallon U15 and Minor Presentation Evening  

St Mary’s Aghagallon gathered at The Woodville Arms, Lurgan to recognise and celebrate the successes of their U15 and U17 Teams in 2021.   Chairman, Columb Walsh welcomed everyone to the presentation, acknowledging the players for their hard work, dedication, and the joy they brought to the Parish last year. Also, to their parents for encouraging the players at training and matches. Lastly, the successful management teams were recognised for their work over numerous years in getting the players to this point.

U15 Management – James Kelly, Louis Keightly and Brian Maginnis spoke about the U15’s season and their journey to winning the Breslin Cup vs Creggan in Glenavy.

Special Guest – Audi Kelly, Current Senior Manager, presented the players with their Breslin Cup medals. U17 Management – Peter McStravick, John McStravick, Diermuid Brown, Aaron Mooney & Brendan McCartan spoke about the U17’s journey to the League and Championship Double. The first Minor Championship for St Mary’s Aghagallon.

Audi Kelly and Eunan Walsh presented the players with their League and Championship medals. Captain Paudy Gowdy and Vice-Captain Jonny Hannon collected the trophies.

Audi Kelly spoke about both his player and manager experiences and gave invaluable advice to both the U15 and U17 players. Special thanks to Bert Trowlen and the Saffron Gael for their reports and photos throughout the year. Bert presented Columb Walsh with a selection of photos from the 2021 U17 Minor Championship Final. A great night had by all in recognition of a successful 2021 underage season for St Mary’s Aghagallon as we look forward to the 2022 season.
