Antrim Football League Division 1
St Gall’s 1-07 Casements Portglenone 1-17
A top class display of finishing by Casements Portgleone saw them beat St Gall’s by ten points in Wednesday evening’s league game at the Bog Meadows. The home team took the lead when Michael Pollock found the Casements net after five minutes and when they added a point soon afterwards Portlglenone appeared to have a mountain to climb. However they began to steady the ship and a series of points saw them claw their way back, before taking control and going on to lead by two at the break. St Gall’s 1-4 Portglenone 0-9.

Portglenone increased their lead within a minute of the restart when Oisin Doherty fired over and they added two more in quick succession. Things got heated for a while and a player from each side was sent off, but the Casement’s men pushed on relentless and when centre forward Conal Delargy was pulled down going through on goal, Hagan dispatched the resultant penalty to put the game beyond St Gall’s reach.
Michael Pollock got St Gall’s first score of the second half on 48 minutes and Niall Fallon added another soon afterwards, but two more from Hagan put Portgleone eleven clear, though St Gall’s substitute Calum Walsh pulled it back to ten my the full time whistle.
