Former Meath boss Andy McEntee has been appointed the new Antrim senior football manager after being ratified by the clubs this evening.
McEntee managed Meath to the final of the 2012 All Ireland Minor Football Championship and steered Dublin cub Ballyboden St Enda’s to the 2016 All Ireland Club Football title. Later that year he was appointed as manager of his native Meath and after three seasons in charge the Royal county won promotion back to Division 1 of the National Football League for the first time since 2006.
However he stepped down from the Meath post a a few weeks ago after his team’s defeat to Clare in the All Ireland SFC Quaifiers.
