As the new pitch was a hive of activity of Gaelic games a popular Community and Well-being market in a marquee was on as well and many bargains were picked up by the big crowds who attended.

On Saturday evening a big crowd enjoyed an exciting and keenly contested drawn JHC game v Shane U Néil
After the entertaining  game, a Night of cultural entertainment with The Hot Whiskeys Folk band was held in the packed clubrooms.

`Hannahstown Church to the new pitch for the Official opening and blessing. The parade was a very colourful spectacle and an unreal atmosphere
After the opening young and old members participated in a Family fun day kindly funded by The Belfast City Council. Méabh McNeill gave a powerful rendition of the national anthem and the Ferris Bunting School of Irish Dancing entertained the big crowd with an impressive exhibition.

The successful weekend concluded with entertainment from James Peake and family in a packed clubroom.

A truly memorable, proud, and auspicious weekend for the club as the club celebrated in style their remarkable achievement of building a new pitch practically financed by themselves as they were unable to secure any Government or Sporting funding. Well done to all concerned.
