Creggan secure Division 2 U15 Football League title

Kickham’s Creggan were the winners of this year’s U15 Football League division 2 and to mark the occasion club photographer and regular contributor to the Saffron Gael, Joe Rice got the team together for a photo-shoot at their Staffordstown Road ground to markl the occasion and save it for posterity.

To their credit, the South West lads notched up an incredible 15 league wins out of 17 matches.  The Loughshore U15 footballers were presented with the League Cup on Sunday.  Sean McKeown’s lads performed remarkably throughout the season.  This devotion and experience should ensure there is a full contingent of talent for the Kickhams’ teams of the future.  Many of the players are dual players fielding for Creggan, their schools and their County.  The Kickham’s lads were only narrowly defeated by a few points in the semi-final of the Championship.

The League silverware will sit proudly beside the Moneyglass International Tournament that they won earlier in the season.

The future looks bright for Creggan.
