Ulster Ladies MFC
Tyrone 3-12-Antrim 2-05
The Antrim LGFA minors travelled to play the Tyrone Ladies yesterday afternoon in the Ulster Championship and came up against a very strong home side who had just too much scoring power for the young Saffrons.
It was always going to be a tough one. Antrim with a few missing from their side were feeling the pressure from the start. Tyrone started well playing with a strong wind at their backs and took the game to the Saffrons right from the start. They looked to be running away with it through a dominant opening half but the visitors came back at the start of the second half and threatened to make a match of it.

Tyrone responded with a couple of points but it was all in vain for the Antrim girls as the red and whites rattled the Antrim net with a well taken goal in the last few minutes, and dashed any chance of the Saffrons pulling it back .
Despite defeat there were pleasing aspects to the Antrim performance but they came up against an excellent Tyrone side on the day. A great game of football and well done to both teams and management.
