Antrim football League – Division 2
Con Magees 2-17 St Teresa’s 0-3

Con Magees corner forward Ryan McQuillan sends the ball to the St Teresa’s net early in Wednesday evening’s league game at Fr Maginn Park.
Goals in the early stages of each half saw Con Magees score a comfortable victory over St Teresa’s in Wednesday’s Antrim Football League Division 2 game at Fr Maginn Park, Glenravel.
Played in atrocious conditions with a strong wind and driving rain, the home side had the use of the elements in the first half and boosted by an early goal from Under20 star Ryan McQuillan they were 1-7 to 0-0 ahead just before half time.
St Teresa’s got their only point of the first half just before the break and when they got a second one soon after the restart you wondered if they could make a fight of it. However a second goal from Charlie Henry, when he took advantage of a fumble in the St Teresa’s defence, killed the game as a contest. Glenravel added a series of good scores to win convincingly in the end, and the odds were always stacked against the Glen Road men, they battled to the very end.
