Suicide is a deeply traumatic event. The torment experienced by that one person is multiplied to affect a wide range of people including: partners, parents, children, families and friends.
As a family the GAA stand together but sometimes we don’t know the pain that lies outside of the white line.
Suicide Awareness and Support Group are a charity that delivers bereavement support to those bereaved by suicide and organise a bridging support structure for those recently bereaved. They also provide intervention services for those at risk of suicide.

To help raise much needed funds our referees came together to do a two hour sponsored spin on Saturday 13th May, their aim, to support the families who have lost loved ones to suicide, and for individuals who are in suicidal crisis. We also work to raise awareness around the issue of suicide and to keep our communities safer from suicide.
