Billy Boylan RIP

A tribute to Billy from the McQuillan’s club

We are truly saddened to learn of the passing of another Club Great in our lifelong member, Billy Boylan.

Billy was a familiar & friendly face at Páirc MacUilín & Benmore Park in previous years. A fine character full of stories & knowledge who always had time for a yarn.

Billy’s Club life was rich; firstly as a player, pictured here as part of the 1965 Minor Championship winning team & Senior Féis team of ’67; he dedicated so much of his time & efforts on Club Committees both for Camogie & Hurling, he was a Team Mentor, a great character on stage in our Drama productions & a loyal supporter, travelling the length & breadth of the country to support Club Teams, in particular his own children & grandchildren. He enjoyed supporting our Club days & we will very much miss his prescence & wisdom on such occasions.

We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Kathleen, his sons & daughters, in particular our esteemed Committee Member & Club U16 & Minor Camogie Mentor Katrina McCaughan, all of his Grandchildren including current playing members Eóin, Ciara, Conor, Aoife, Eimear & Dervla & his wider family circle.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís 🖤💛
