Antrim Under 16 Hurling League – Division 2
Rossa 1-12 St John’s 1-19
St John’s travelled to Rossa Park on Tuesday evening in the Under 16 Hurling League Division 2 and came away winners by 1-19 to 1-12 and now sit top of the table with two games in hand.
Rossa held the upper hand for the first twenty minutes of the game and with centre forward Oisin Boyle running the show they led by 0-8 to 0-5. However a strong finish to the opening half which brought two points from Lewis Rafferty and two from Tomas Adams, in reply it just one from Rossa, saw them go in at the interval with a 0-10 to 0-09 lead.

A strong start to the second half, which brought points from Adams and Caolan Wilson, plus a goal from Rafferty, gave the Corrigan Park side a six point cushion which they would hold until the end. Boyle was again brilliant for the Rossa side and three points from the centre forward, plus a goal from Patrick Hamill, got them back into contention However St John’s soon regained the upper hand and a series of points from man of the match Adams, plus a goal from Daniel Kelly, sealed a convincing win
