Danske Bank Colleges Hurling – Foresters Cup
Ghaelcholaiste Dhoire 1-9 St Killian’s 3-11
A strong final quarter saw St Killian’s come from behind to beat Chaelcholaiste Dhoire in Monday’s Foresters Cup game at UU Coleraine.
Points from Oisín Mag Uiginn and Harry O Cearnagh in the ninth and tenth minute put the Dungiven side ahead but The Tower hit back with a goal from Conal Og Trainor and a point from Ronan Magee to go two in front. Three in a row from Ghaelcholaiste Dhoire’s Aidan O’Ceallagh, Kain O’Ceallagh and Sean Paul O’Ceallagh put the Derry school a point ahead but St Killian’s regained the lead when Conal Og Trainor grabbed his second goal of the game.

However Ghaelcholaiste Dhoire finished the half strong with three unanswered points gave them a 0-8 to 2-01 lead at the interval.
Cahir McCambridge brought St Killian’s level early in the second half when he sent over a point from play but Ghaelcholaiste Dhoire were soon level again when Conan O Ceallagh fired over. Three in a row from the Tower got them back ahead again but the Dungiven school found the St Killian’s net through centre forward Peadar O’Ceallagh.
At this stage it looked like it could go either way but the Tower took over in the final quarter, hitting 1-06 without reply, to goal coming from Donnacha Laverty to put them eight clear at the end.
